How to get rid of Adrian Gordon?
Do I have to reload from a different save? The fact that you can't ditch him and he respawns is lame.

Just wait till he stops talking. He's almost done when he comments on the team looking at him. After that he will sit right where he is. Feel free to leave him somewhere in the wastes.

If you ever get into fights, he will probably die. Unless you are a master at avoiding them, Adrian lives a short life.

How do you access him? I can see him behind the chopper, but i'm unable to cross...

You get an achievement on your log book if you wait for him to finish. He says some really funny stuff too.

leave to the wasteland, turn around and come back to the base. the fire on the chopper will be out, and you can now access that little area.

also, your extra npcs and your storage chest will be available in the building furthest to the north.

...wish they had put that buildign closer to the gate!
