Smartass vs Kiss ass

so i'm at a point where i was like. oh snap, i need to level up smart ass to 8 to get stuff. kiss ass doesn't seem to be unique enough and Hard ass usually leads to weird things like skipping quests or bullying your way out, which is not what u wanna do to friendlies.

can anybody tell me a specific use of kiss ass that's necessary/helpful to get quests?

Spoiler Alert/kinda : i'm referencing the god's militia where kiss ass ended with the dialogue of let me shoot him, which is not what i wanna do. i'm assuming smart ass lvl 8 would help me save that guy

I'm not sure if there is a way to save him with dialogue. I ended up opening fire before they get the chance.

The way I did Smart Ass vs Kiss Ass, is that I had my main Charisma guy do Kiss Ass. Then I got the mutant girl to do Smart Ass.

I think it might be kiss ass that you need to broker peace between the rail nomads.

ok. update: i needed kiss ass lvl 10. LOL to get some armor/ or w/e in angel oracle. hory shet. completely optional but now i see i need to upgrade all the asses
