Silo 7 - Disarm Nuke
I'm trying to disarm the nuke and it's telling me I have a 77% chance of success (using Mechanical Repair). However, every time I try, it just explodes. Except once, and I have no idea what I did differently there, if anything. I've probably tried 20 times now.

Anyway, it's clear the percentage is wrong - what's going on here? :/

Try demolitions instead
☠CRⒶZY BR㋛ 25 SEP 2014 a las 13:16
yeah...disarming is demolition lol

Demolitions is much easier, why are you sing mechanical?
disastrophe 25 SEP 2014 a las 13:34
Because it tells me I can. If mechanical doesn't work, why give it as an option at all?

It worked^^ In a way

Mechanical does work, but not as well. It's an option for people who've been disarming landmines by running over them up until that point in the game.

Lol this explains a lot. On my first attempt I must have used my guy with demolitions because I remember the success rate being light green.

But then I reloaded for one reason or another and I was using my guy with Mechanical specifically and the text had become dark orange and I knew I wasn't crazy! But mechanical man got it disarmed anyway

As a worse secondary option in case you don't have anyone with demolitions. I've seen the same thing with alarm disarm and computer science where both work but one is the superior option.

My main point is: why does it say I have a 77% chance of success if this isn't true?
