Tank treads ( minor prison spoilers )

So I'm up to the part where there's some turrets with 4000hp that stop me, and there's a little robot who says he needs some tank treads to get up and working.
Problem is...I sold those to a random encounter merchant a little while back, anyone knows if any robots drop it, or am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ? and if I just roam non stop, will that merchant still have it ?

The item should NOT be flagged as junk.

It's not the right tread from my understanding. You get the tread you are looking from Damonta.

some forums in the beta said that it worked tho, if it's from damonta then sweet, i'm good.
But ( minor prison spoilers ) I murdered all the farmhands/slavers for jobe, he won't be killed if I leave for damonta to get it right ? cause I heard somewhere how there's some timed events in this game.

^^^ let me know cuz i didn't kill the farmers this time and left the pigs. and when i came back from damonta, the quest said i friggin killed the farmer. also when i got there, the pigs were dead.

From what I understand, it used to work in beta but it's been patched. I ended up going with the peaceful resolution so I never used the tank tread.

Is there any alternative way ? because i can't reach the Canyon without most of my team members dying from radiation.

if there's any other way to reach danforth im all ears, but his turrets now have over 4100 hp, I can't hurt those.

If someone could explain what the tank tread item look like (for all i know i dropped it..i had this octocron thing) and tell which robots drops it, Does Slicer drop it?

looks like treads on a tank ( rubber things around the wheel on tanks) and only the robots attacking the radio tower drop it ( I think )

The tank threads can only be gained in a town later on, you're suppose to go elsewhere and then come back. The prison interiour is blocked off even if you manage to get past the turrets, there are mines that insta kill you and can't be dected or disarmed. They disappear once you get further into the game and get told to go back.

So long story short, come back later.

The item you need to FINISH the Prison (if u pissed off the RSM) is in Damonta. You will need to come back later. Jobe will be ok either way.

and i think he didnt believe me and now they will fire if i go past the white line, maybe i havent directed the pigs yet. can i just kill all the skorpions instead?
