Red Baychowski dead what now?
I got this mission from Red Baychowsky in Damonta to find a plane called Sierra something. I found out that it is located in Silo 7 but Baychowski got killed by robots in Damonta in my case. So how to finish/end this mission? Can this be done without him?

i entered silo7 map and right in the beginning if you take the left path there is a door symbol shown on the map, but if i come closer there is no option to enter or go through. Is this a bug or do i need perception at a higher level to " see" the hidden path... i obviously already seee...........

Thx for the answer, my highest perception on any character is 5, so i need one more i guess, 5% for level up :9

ok nope, i returned with perception 6 still nothing. So either you need it even higher or it is simply bugged. Biggest crap that it is even shown as a door on the map but not working if oyu stand infront of it. This stupid red died because his ai is terrible, he ran into fog of war even if ther were multiple enemys in his range, i guess with him you could be able to pass the door without perception. You find him in the beginning of damonta map and suppossed to keep him alive while he suicides in every grp.

no im finished with arizona and have no option to get 2 level in order to push perception to 7, wihtout even knowing if it would work. Really crappy game design.

What's your perception and awareness? Red got terrible ai that's true but, his hp is low so if you don't have a brawler or melee combatant your chances is slim.

Anyway, whit 7 perception and 10 awareness i manage to find out. My Red also killed (by tinker) i just try to find with 9 awareness and 6 perception but failed, after a lvl got a happy ending.

I just moved on to the next map, the quest got deleted after i arrived in the new zone. As far as i have read the loot is pathetic anyway, but i really want to complete my quests in general, just sucks that the game so often stands in my way with crappy stupid outcomes like [ SPOILERALERT ] you have 4 options how you deal with the nuke in silo 7. Give it the monks, they blow the canyon, you get nothing... without any alert or something. you give it to the militas... then yeah you give a atomic bomb to a bunch of mercanaries you dont even know, WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ would i do that? you disarm the nuke and the milita and the monks get mad at you, the canyon is gone also and you cant enter anything after that, no temple, no hospital, no militia base, the whole canyon is gone. 4 option is to just ignore the quest and do nothing... wow what a great story, so deep, so fun, hohoho... the game has both really awesome and really terrible moments. I mean its the last location on the first map and they had the chance to make a real cool plot, and nice finish for your first adventure, but it felt just boring, unfinished and... yeah just incredible lame.

But so far california is much better, seems like arizona is the crappy half of the game. Most of the early quests and plots were terrible boring and pointless in arizona. Like the railroad map.. which changes...yeah like basically nothing, the quick visit in darwin village which changes...nothing. I hope the rest of california is as awesome as the beginning. You get more major plots, you are introduced to a lot of factions and i dont know, it just feels much better designed, more polished.

Dunno 80+ hours of game play is pretty high for me, game itself seems short due to little faction and places but actually it's kinda time consuming. For your post, I think Darwin Village placed for purely reference to Wasteland, which made me really happy i had so much memories in Darwin Village :p For Titan Valley, i think they manage to give that atmosphere pretty well. I mean fanatic monks, good? but twisted faction. A Merc battalion which struggles to take over valley, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ raiders who don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about anything, we also got poor travelers aswell. For endings, i was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sure to not giving nuke to any faction. I mean monks are zealot and some of them want to blow themself up and embrace to great glow, so no thanks. No sane person ever think to give them a nuke :p ,for mercs. how much you know them? Oh we're so alike you guys want to protect peaceee toooo? lemme give you a nuke! Screw that even their first mission they just give you a "scrambler" to prevent to using nuke while they give you actual code to blast nuke while doors closed and send you and monks to hell.

Anyway. I'm big fan of California too and i seriously don't want to give any more spoiler so have fun :p

Thx, im pretty sure california will be awesome^^ After the outcome of the nuke plot i think i should have worked for the mercanaries and infiltrate the temple when i had the chance, now its gone anyway. For myself, i never played wasteland 1 and fallout 1 + 2 , i played fallout 1 2 years ago for the first time. im 27 but back in the days i wasnt a great pc gamer, more consoles like every other child. Yes its true, the game is kinda short location- and activitywise, just like divinity the major part of the gametime comes from slow combat and traveling, but im ok with that because im not bored at all in general. I just wish they would had polished it a bit more, but i hope they introduce more content and fixes in common dlc's, they defintily deserve your money.

Unless you really want to complete as many quests as possibe the reward is just crap to sell for money, and a little exp. You wont miss it.
a.fettouhi Sep 27, 2014 @ 1:03pm
I had perception 6 at the time I entered Silo 7. It seems like you need to have at least 7 in order to find the entrance.
a.fettouhi Sep 29, 2014 @ 3:01am
I just finished the mission without Red. You do need at least 7 in perception to see the entrance. Then you just need to find the screwdriver inside the plane (SPOILER!) and use it on the floor in the plane (specific place) and the quest gets completed.

I think hardly anyone finishes that mission with red.. right now with his hp and kamikaze ai its just a joke ...

My gunslinger cowboy's main skills other than pistols and outdoors are perception and demolitions. Building him to finally get this quest! :P (that and it's always good to have a guy who can clear those mega minefields!)
