Recruiting Pizepi Joren [minor spoilers]

Does anyone know what the deal with Pizepi (Vipula in earlier beta builds) is?

I read a post that I can't find now where someone said Pizepi didn't turn up for them with 42cha, but did at 50 cha. Then, I read a post saying:

"About Charisma: I run rather low (around 20-25) and didnt have issues to recruit any of the NPCs. Well, other than Vultures Cry as i played Ag Center. I was able to recruit Pizepi with exactly 26 party CHR."

Does anyone actually know what's up here?

edit for context: Pizepi/Vipula is a recruitable mutant NPC in Darwin Village. For some people she shows up, and for others she does not. I assumed she was just Charisma locked, but now I'm wondering if there are other factors involved. (mutants killed? having Rose? Story progression?)

Well I got here with relatively low CHR. I read on the net that you needed 30, but that must have been from an earlier beta build, because I wasn't even close that.

As for the other factors, I didn't have Rose and I killed a ton of zombies. She still wanted to join. Storyprogression wise, I was past the canyon and then decided to go back and clear the earlier areas because the robots on Domata were whopping my butt.

I had 6-3-3-3 charisma for created characters and took Vulture's Cry, Angela and Ralphy with me. I didn't kill a single mutant within the lab and she offered to join when I leave the lab. Oh and I promised not to tell the rangers about the town.

7-1-2-2-3 + Vulture's Cry + Takayuki (3) + the Monk from when you destroy the nuke. I no longer have VC and the Monk in my party so I can'T check what their charisma was, but I didn't touch it from the default ofc.

Who was Jan? The Mutant inside? I promised her not to tell anyone about the village.And she thanked me for curing them, even though I had to kill a lot.

Ya, Jan is the mutant inside. Thanks. I wonder if that's actually the trigger (you tell Jan and then Pizepi turns up).

I learned in beta to save the game just after handing in the quest to Jan and just before leaving the underground complex. If she isn't there the first time savescum until she appears which she invariably does.

I have no idea what factors prevent her from turning up but as it is so easy for determined players to get her anyway you have to wonder why the dev's bothered making it so difficult to get her?

Weird. You can just reload and leave the underground thing and she turns up some % of the time no matter what?

Well in Beta you seemed to have to complete the underground mission with as few deaths as possible (good ending basically) and have high charisma. After reading some of these posts about it in release your actions underground don't effect her turning up nor does your charisma (as much at least)

It's a whole new ball game it seems on release after a few months of playing the beta :)

I'm on a second play through of this area and the first play through Pizepi showed up and joined me, and now this playthrough she didn't show up at all... This playthrough I only have 14 charisma total(Which is less than last time, last time I had at least 23+ charisma, and I have Rose now instead of Vulture's Cry and I cured the mutants now instead of killing them.

Do you know when exactly she is triggered and at how much? Yesterday I played the dungeon with 16 Charisma and finished it - nothing happened.
Then I allocated to attribute points to charisma, equipped the trinket, and ate 5 melons summing up to 24 Charisma and she still was not there. I had my save game right infront of the ladder before going up to jan.
Now my thoughts are: I either
-might need 25 Charisma
-might need the charisma when turning on the vents already
-might need the charisma without buff food

It may even be 30 charisma, all I know is its at least probably more than 23.

There is a posting in the inXile Forums where someone got her with 26. So my best guess is 25. ^^

I got her with ridiculously low CHA. 6-3-3-3, and I only had Vulture's Cry with me. I killed nearly every damn mutant in the basement level, Jan called us bastards. But I promised not to tell their secret. When I left, Pizepi was there. Now I have a butterface green gal with me :3

I have 30 charisma without trinket, she never appeared for me. I don't know where she is supposed to appear..if i have to kill Jan or not though (or say i will or i will not tell).

Edit: just got her finally after 5 or 6 savescum.

I have exactly 29 charisma without trinket or anything.
