If it doesn't bother you, that's just dandy. It does bother me, and I wish there was some way to get rid of it, a config setting to get rid of it, or that it only showed once - the first time the game launched with it then being involved with the optionally viewed game credits.
I don't find those values in that file - but it's likely that notepad, which can open it, is suitable for truly editiing it, and I would recommend NOT altering this file without a clue since you may break your game.
Plus, the asset files are in the game install folder, so they'll be "reset" any time the game patches or if you verify files. Even if you could edit this file, it would be something you'd have to redo.
The config for this game is in the registry (which is odd these days when most use config files in my documents somewhere) and has no values pertaining to the logos and just looks like a direct representation of the in-game options.
I also don't find these files anywhere but I didn't really kill myself looking for them either. They are probably packed into other files as resources so they can't just be deleted/renamed
If there isn't a reasonable way of dealing with this issue it's not really worth the trouble.
I haven't tried it myself, just saying.
Agreed. If someone posts a question here, the answer should at least try to be be helpful. Ridiculing the question is just childish. I posted the same question (skipping intro videos) for Rocksmith and got the same idiotic responses about being an impatient little brat. Who are these people?
I have my speakers very high because of other system things and I turn the volume down on my games to like 10-20% of max. So when I start this game up it's BLASTING loud. I turn the speakers off during the intros but a more permanent solution would be great. It should load my game settings (and thus volume) prior to the intros starting.
Every game need this, without exception.
This is just unnecessary looking at self-advertisements and a more of a nuisance than a waste of time. Many games already have a command line to skip them, others (like Blizzard Games) don't even have them to start with.
PS. Have those devs who incluse tech logos (NVIDIA, etc), even paid to do that? If not, then what is the point? I'm surely not insterest in seeing what's powering a game when I play. If I'd need that info, I'd gone to their website.
So yes, "skipintro" is a must-have for me, unless it's something I definitely cannot live without upon every launch.
As for the Metro, the intros were initially non-skippable, the lengthy sequence before the menu still is, last I checked.
