Cure fungal infection with Kathy Lawson hostile?

That ♥♥♥♥♥ Kathy Lawson becomes hostile if you accidentally shoot or kill two Ag Centre workers.

My first was a guy stuck to the wall with vines growing through his body. Previous ones had begged for death, so I shot this guy after talking to him once to ease his pain. ♥♥♥♥♥ yelled at me over the radio and Angela Deth threatened to leave my party if I did it again.

Then my second was the old watermelon guy with the shotgun. One of my characters accidentally hit him with a shotgun blast while aiming at a rabbit in front of him. He turned hostile, ♥♥♥♥♥face called us monsters and told us to leave Ag Centre, and Angela threatened to leave again. I tried to run away without killing him, but there doesn't seem to be a maximum distance you can put between an enemy and yourself to end combat. He just chased after me, so with Angela's help we killed him.

I still have the Kathy Lawson quest, but returning to the lab where she and Steven Hawking and Rose are results in them turning attacking after a short period of time. You can't talk to them, hovering over them shows the aim reticule like with other enemies. I killed her, searched her body and the room, but nothing to do with the cure was evident. So I reloaded and avoided her. But I still have the fungal infection.

The fungal infection has a very high timer, about 12000 seconds. But I don't want to keep playing knowing I might get two thirds of the way through the game only for it to end due to my characters dying from infection. Or to have top rush to the end, unable to take my time exploring the entirety of locations and doing side-quests to beat the location.

So I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this and figured out a way to cure the infection after making Kathy hostile. If it's not possible, it's a pretty ♥♥♥♥ oversight by the developers.

EDIT: I need to clarify. After giving Kathy the 10 pod pieces, she tells you she needs a fungicide, which you get from the mushroom caves below. I have it, but obviously because she hates me and won't talk to me and wants me dead, she won't take it from me and give me the cure (I assume this is what happens normally).

EDIT 2: If you kill her, you can find her journal on her. It says she's the only person who can cure it, and if anything happens to her the infected are "royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥". But that's okay, I saved before I tried killing her. I'm still not sure how to get cured though.

Try using Surgery.

I don't have any items that allow you to use Surgeon on a conscious character. I don't know if they exist.

I've got the same issue. Killed two staff members by mistake, now Kath and wheelchair Matt won't talk to me and are hostile. Encounter begins, and I have no option but to kill them. This sucks. Why does she have to be so resentful.
