Question about usefulness of items

Slightly spoilery after a few hours-

Is there any reason to hold onto these exploded pod fragments? They aren't labeled as junk. I've already completed the quest that required them...

Also, weapon fragments generated from weapon dissasembly. Are these just vendor trash as well? Or are they useful later?

You can sell pod fragments and weapon things are for mods.

After your "Save highpool/ag center mission" your eligable to enter the citidel. Wour weapon fragments are useful there as are a few other things you wouldn't think anyone would want.

keep the weapon fragments, you can sell them for more once you get in the citadel

Once you get access to the Ranger Citadel there is a trader that will buy them at quite an increased price and he will continue to do so at all times. It's a recurrent quest..

Weapon parts, guano/excrement and painkillers have specific vendors where you'll receive xp / increased scrap. I didn't hang on to any exploded pods so not sure if there is a better place for selling or turning in those.

I noticed that the guano/excrement are marked as junk though.
