Has anyone found a quick way to start combat?

Currently I have to go into solo mode and have someone shoot at an enemy to avoid my whole party firing into my opponent. Is there a faster way?

I havn't discover that either, but on the secon part of the game (LA) that wouldnt/ be a problem, since you'll meet enemies, that will not die and whole party shot

Selecting your weapon and make direct fire on n enemy will start the combat, I use it nearly every time I fight, placing my rangers and then opening the fight from good distance with my sniper -works great.

I tend to just hovor my mouse over an enemy. If it's in range you'll get the % to hit in your weapon box, and can then make a "surprise" attack. I find it useful to do it at a range that my sniper (or now snipers) can access then bring the melee into me.

You can also click on the headshot icon (if you have it) to start combat as well.
