hidden keywords?

are they realy hidden or do they refer to the highlighted/colored words which are also displayed at the bottom of the screen?

btw i just started the game and i hear a sizzling noise, right in the starter area, is it supposed to be there? i have a creative soundblaster soundcard.

Yeah they're really hidden, they're not everywhere but i'd keep an eye on the really chatty NPCs.

Yes, there are secret keywords you can use with NPCs. Basically you need to pay attention to the stories and events that are important to that particular NPC. For instance, you can type 'Snake' when talking to General Vargas and he'll have a few lines of dialogue on the subject (since that was his old Ranger codename, which you can learn by talking to Angela Deth).
