Here is a quote I found:
EDIT:
In fact, Steam prevents you from even saying the name.
Might want to keep an eye on your game and bank accounts and make sure nothing suspicious is being purchased w/o your permission.
As an alternative to buying directly from Steam I recommend Green Man Gaming. These guys are authorized/official Steam key sellers and have been in business since 2010. Not only do they often have lower base prices (at least from an EU point of view) you can almost always apply a -25% voucher on top of that. I've bought many new games from them and I've never had any issues.
Edit: GMG doesn't have Wasteland 2 though :/ (I got my key from being a Kickstarter backer).
Just a side note incase anyone doesn't notice, the version on GoG is the digital CLASSIC edition even though on the store page it says digital DELUX, it is a pre-order for the official release and does not give you the early access version for Steam.
I see this, and I don't see what the problem is. Even customers of authorized sellers sometimes experience issues for one reason or another when using game keys they've purchased from them. Authorized or unauthorized, businesses are manned by people, and people sometimes make mistakes. Now, if he comes back and says that G2A didn't somehow make good, like providing a new key or refunding his money, that would be actual cause for concern.
The fact that you are using this anecdote to solidify your belief that G2A is untrustworthy is unreasonable, in my opinion. G2A has a history and reputation as a legitimate game reseller, and the analogy as a large eBay reseller is a good one. When I buy from eBay, I don't care how they got the goods, just that they have a high seller rating and long history, are selling it for a decent price, and the goods arrive and work as advertised.
Lastly, you keep citing the fact that Steam filters out the reseller's name. They probably do it for the same reason the W2 developers are: They are popular unauthorized resellers, and therefore are likely seen as illegitimate competitors. That doesn't make your belief about G2A any more correct or righteous. It just means Steam forum users are less likely to become aware of the (sometimes) better deals G2A offers and will be more likely buy the (sometimes) more expensive offerings from Steam. Steam certainly has the right to censor it, and you certainly have the right to do that on your Steam sub-forums, but don’t act like you or the developers are doing a favor for potential customers.
Nobody is trying to be righteous, it has been established from the beginning that yes, they are unauthorized resellers and Steam/InXile don't want the competition. That is in addition to the fact that the source of their keys is unknown and may be revoked, as the OP experienced.
If people want to risk buying keys from those kind of sites then fine, but those sites are not allowed to be advertised here.

You want to take the risk, that's fine. But don't promote it here.
