Pods?
So at the AG center, I am tasked with either getting a undamaged sample of a pod or collect 10 fragments. How high do I need to be in what skill in order to be able to get the live sample? Surgeon or Field medic?

Also I keep triggering traps. What preception level do I need to be to not get blown up while unlocking a door or a chest? Cause suing preception does nothing even with chars that have good preception.

Perception check chests, doors, etc if it says there's a trap use someone with a good Demolitions skills to disarm it

Pods explode if you get near them anyway, just collect fragments. Might as well pick them all up, you can actually sell them later. Traps are easy, just check every door and box to see if it can be disarmed.

Thats the problem see.. I generally use Cold Eye as he got a decent preception check. But most of the time its something simple as "A door, you have seen many like it before." its funny the first few times but even when you know there is a trap, none of your team memers can detect.

ALso can you choose your intiial party build up? I have not been back to the ranger station since... I would love to have someone like Hex on my team.

Explosives have various difficulty level throughout the game. You should keep leveling your perception along with other skills progressively throughout the game. (by the time you reach Damonta you should have perception 7, for a certain side quest)

As for explosive traps, I've adopted a habit of checking every chest even if the perception skill doesn't warn me. I choose the character with explosive skill and see if it's possible to use the explosive skill on various things. It might sound a bit excessive, but it's better than reloading saves all the time, or taking lots of unnecessary damage.

If you don't like your intial characters I would recomend that you start over and make your own. The premade ones really aren't the best, and you're not that far in so it wouldn't be hard to get back to where you are.

Oh so you are stuck with the 4 you start with. Damn, for some reason I figured they would have some background related quests based on who I chose lol. Still I do like my current memebrs they work well.

My lock pick and safe cracker is also a field medic. Now that I got Rose I got surgeon and a PC hacker as well... hmm I might want to give slick some good melee upgrades.

I guess I will ahve invest insome demolistion skills for one of my chars.

I hate using premade characters, I made my own. And for the record you can cover toaster repair and animal whisperer with Ralphy, surgeon and computer science with Rose and demolitions with Takayuki in Leve'Lupe. I recommend picking up Ralphy before heading to AG.

And what Bad Burger said is what I meant... a character with the demolitions skill can tell instantly if there's a trap on something. Since there might be an alarm too it's good to have both of those skills on the same character.

Not usd to having mroe than one custom character. So I naturally made one that is to my liking and the rest I paired up based on skills I would need at any given time. It sort of sucks I can't change party members around like Blady's gate.... so two more skills damn...

Okay so there is no way I can make one character good at everything. So how many skills should one character invest in? Like my current Mad Max clone is working on assault and shotguns and is a smart ass. The otehrs have 4 skills, as I got my theif to be the mefic as well. Cold Eye is a dedicated sniper with weapon smithing, Slick is the talker and has skills kiss ass and hardass as well as blade combat. I was thinking of giving him some pistol skills but now I am thinking I will make him a rigger.

OR

I Could just restart the damned game....
zonker39 Apr 4, 2015 @ 2:08pm
I'd restart, I did after completing AG the first time. I went with 3 characters with 10 int and one with 8, characters with 10 can carry 5 skills easy and 8 can carry 4 easy. Skills are king in both the original and this one.
