After finishing Kate's quest to turn down the pressure in the pipes, extinguishing that house on fire, and reuniting that dude with his dog, what else is there to do for these people? Already killed the wrecking crew at their base, and Kate won't let the vote begin once again. Every person in town has good responses when I click them, like they're grateful.
Also, there's a minor typo in Kate's response, it says "I don't we've got" instead of "I don't *think* we've got".

I've tried going to Doc's house, but he turned down my offer to help him, and instead offers to heal my party members. Have I done something wrong to not get the help option to trigger?

Just start using surgeon skill on the sickies. You need at least rank3 but then you still fail a lot. Having rank 4 then it is almost always succesfull.

Just be patient and make a quick save after each successful heal.

It is a little confusing, but if you try using your surgery skill on each patient, something will happen. Granted not always good things if your not very skilled ;-)

After the vote, for clearing out the wreckers, what does Kate give you as a reward? Nothing has turned up in my iventory after she 'gives' me the item...

Oh, thanks. I had a few granade already so didn't notice. They do seem a fairly rare item so glad I got an extra one!

I get not wanting to hand hold and all but it seems like they could have given some indication that you could help them or that helping them had swayed the mayoral vote. Anyway thanks for the help!! Frustrating part of what has otherwise been a really fun game

I think she's supposed to give you the key to free VC but I'd already let her out myself long before the vote.

The doc there actually does give you a hint. I don't recall exactly what it says but something along the lines of- he could use some help healing these people...

I've never helped the injured people at the Doc's. But I did fix the water purifier at the merchant's. The parts is in the engine next to him. Requires Mechanical Repairs. Also helped put out the burning house, returned the dog to the owner, blew up the mortar.

When I finished helping Kate in Irrigation, voting started, and Kate Immediately became mayor.

I wiped out the wrecker base AFTER.
