Yeah but most would see it as a refrence to the original concept of the last of the V-8 interceptors (interceptor being the key word), from Mad Max. Mad Max came out in 1979, Road Warrior in 1981, so when it comes down to it that game is merely ripping off the whole road warrior concept from there. Good find thou.
There is no mistaken the V-8 interceptor from those films. Its one of the 10-20 most recognized vehicles from any media, and anything featuring a V-8 interceptor is really refrencing (or ripping off) it to a degree. Earliest appearance always win the easter egg status.
