Does anyone know if we will be able to cure her in the full version?

in this thread (http://wastelandrpg.tumblr.com/post/59423912037/wasteland-2-gamescom-previews-roundup-2) its said that a high enough surgeon skill can save her, but when using it tells you that you dont have a certain item. I think you have to get it from somewhere who knows where...Maybe its some end-tier surgeon set or you need to have maxed it out, no idea. But it should be possible, if you can actually use it. This game often requires you to have redonkulous high skill capabilities, but it doesnt trick you in this way.

To be honest, i cant really believe that the devs would make such a cheap ♥♥♥♥♥-move-tear-jerk. I mean seriously, whats next? A bunch of kittens getting eaten by a robot while playing on a violin with strings made out of little girl hair which he eaten before? Oh, and he made the kittens watch.

I had a character with Surgeon Lv9 and there was still the BS with the "no valid item". Kind of the same crap as in Spec Ops: The Line with the white phosphorous - im not pissed at the evil world, im pissed (in case there is actually no way to save her) at the devs who werent able to hire a proper storywriter who doesnt need cheap tear jerks to tell a sad story.

there is no Elroy(maybe her huband?) in Titan valley.
so there's no way to find which medicine she requires.

well.. even if there's a way to save her all villagers will die after you install repeater unit at Damonta

Yeah, and ive read that if you get the cure and return, she will be dead too. There has to be some damn way. I mean, thats the essence of old RPGs, is it not? There is always a way. Absurd, unlogical, Cicada 3301-style, but still a way. Lets save Anna!

Didn't the dev, i.e. one of the people who made the game, just say right here, in this very same thread, that it is not possible?

It's just another flaw in the game we have to wait until the mod tool are out to fix.

I know this and the mines/turret plot-wall in the prison are 2 of the first things i'm going to look for mods to fix.

I get the feeling that many of these so called "complete guides" were made on pre release versions and are now incorrect and not remotely complete.

I have a feeling you could be correct.

Now on my second playthrough of the full release, the first time i tried to find her husband with no success, so this time i shot her, and a kid came out from behind a container, and said he was going to tell, and when his dad finds out, we're in trouble, i had the necessary speech skill to convince him it was for the best, and he agreed, not sure what would happen if i didnt, maybe his father comes home to find his kid saying the rangers killed his mother??? i guess i'll have to play through again to find out.

First of all its not his mother, just some kidna of neighbour. But... i didnt have enough points in speech skill, so the boy runs to his father and tell him what I did. Unfortunatelly the whole family runs and hides inside cave behind their house and "save pig" quest will fail. Another way is to shoot the boy and make him silence, but that kinda make me feel bad :))

I think it's ok that we can't save everyone. This game is supposed to be hard and cruel. Very early in the game they forced you to save either Highpool or Ag centre, and then they kept telling you about the horrible things happening at the other place that you didn't save... I'm sure there are a lot more choices like that further into the game and it's great. Apocalypse sucks, ppl die, you can't save everyone, DEAL WITH IT.
