Fletcher Escape, anyone else do this? (Spoiler Warning)
So I arrive in Angel Oracle they seem like nice uptight folks obsessed with manners who plan on executing a guy for not cleaning his room. Sounds legit I'm not one to judge. After talking to most of the people in the farm pit I head back up the stairs going to the hospital for part of a quest.

Suddenly the guards stop me and say Fletcher has escaped and since we are new in town they suspect us. For people so concerned with manners it seems quite rude to accuse people you just meet of helping someone break out of prison with no proof or motive.

They demanded I turn over one of my people as a hostage and I have to "prove" my innocence otherwise they are gonna execute him in Fletcher's place. I'm having none of that. I have been playing a peaceful helpful ranger who defends the innocent for the whole game so far but this was crossing the line, Rangers never leave a man behind. I told them to go to hell which agrooed the whole town and I proceed to kill every last one of those uptight cannibal manner obsessed folks as the blight on the wasteland that they were.

So my question is anybody else draw that line when they demand you surrender to them? I could understand if you didn't because you weren't strong enough. It was a tough fight but likely I had decent level and gear by this point in the story. So wanting to but not being able to I'd like to hear as well.

*Spoilers* (D'uh).
Gave them one of my guys, talked to all involed like the mans wife and to Mr Manners
find out she's an unwilling part in a Robinson plot and he has a thing for beef.
Found a guy willing to sell cows. Thats half the problem solved.

With the canibals no longer, well....Canibals, I told Mr Manners about the Robinson plot (just not the wifes part in it) and he no longer wants to kill him for....plot (*wink, wink* *hint, hint* "know what I mean, know what I mean?") reasons. And he gets banished instead. Not quite what I was going for with him, but at least he's not dead.

Got my guy back (because I to never leave a man, woman, robot or goat behind. Or let get them turned into a snack).

The Robinsons and the Manners are as bad as each other, but with the Manners now eating beef at least their now slightly less bad than the other lot.
Tracked down the Robinsons leader at Mr Manners request, dissarmed a metric s**t ton of mines, and talked to her, agreed to let her get away right up until she said her parting words (subtle, she is not), instantly regretted it and shot the lot of them.
They had rocket-launchers (as in more than one) but I had a Jackhammer, a minigun and a crazy old guy with a big club and no teeth. I won.

Gave Mr Manners her head and lissened to him lament how because of our agreement to stop eating people he could not eat it.

Gave him a piece of toast I found in a toaster.

So basically wiping them both out was best thing for wastelands. I just saved myself the headache of having to deal with all their BS before getting to that point.

That's one way to look at it.

Though the only people available to try and keep some semblance of peace and keep people save from the things/people/raiders that might wish them harm would be the god's militia, who are worse than both.

Also as with all toaster items Mr Manners gives you something for the toast that can't be got in the game otherwise. Which was nice of him even though the toast wan't up to the standard he was hoping for.
