Not sure how connected the stories are with 2. I never played the first Wasteland but Wasteland 2 did a good job bringing me up to speed. I imagine it will be the same with Wasteland 3 but Wasteland 2 Director's Cut is a pretty solid RPG that I'd recommend if you are interested in it.
Not sure if Im ok with that.
Although Steam and GOG are still mentioned[imgur.com].
In addition, conceptual screenshots look like highly detailed pre-rendered backgrounds. As for me I think it was more promissing. And now in the trailer we were shown cheap 3D with low details.
If I am not mistaken, in some of the interviews, inXile said they would focus on Stasis design style.
Unfortunately so long as Deep Silver gets any money from a sale. I cannot in good conscience pick up Wasteland 3. Despite being a big fan of the series as well as the original isometric Fallout games. Because deep silver is bad for PC gaming and I wholeheartedly support PC gaming. They have taken many opportunities to take bribes from the EGS making games exclusive. So long as exclusionary practices continue I will not support deep silver in anyway. Even if that means I cannot support franchises that I would like to see continue. Because Deep Silver has shown that they could care less about the people shelling out for games they publish. And the only thing the shareholders clearly calling the shots understand is a loss of revenue. So I will be fighting the good fight for everyone to get any game on PC from their platform of choice. Exclusives are anti-consumer.
Also please don't misinterpret me here though, EGS should certainly have any game on Steam as well if they choose to carry it. Competition comes in the form of pricing and services. Even at an increased cost I would get a copy on Steam given the choice. Some may well choose EGS for a lower cost (as presently we can safely say it would not be for better services). I'm fine with that. The exclusionary anti-consumer practice of exclusives needs to stop however.
watch the trailer shown at E3 this year, it looks nothing like WL2
Deep Silver seems to be involved so likely it is going to be Epic Store and Windows Store only.
