As title, thanks.

Depends on what you're looking for. Way I see it there are mainly two camps of souls fans these days: Those that believe that hard bosses and tight combat is 90% of what makes a souls game a souls game and those that believe that exploration is just as important. If you are part of the former then this game won't appeal to you, the combat is fine but it's overall on the easier side of souls game. If you are on the latter side then this is a fantastic game (for its price) because it has a world that's really enjoyable to explore. Oh and I guess that you should look at screenshots or videos because I know visuals is a huge deal for most gamers now-a-days so always make sure it's up your alley there.

Bro, I’m not a fan of souls like games because I don’t have the time to die 10,000 times.

Can you please recommend games of this genre that are easier?

Then it's easy to recommend this game, AI limit is on the easier side of souls game while retaining the other elements that make the genre fun.

Still...

"Easy" is a bit on the subjective side as souls-like games tend to be harder when compared to games from different genres. But if you're looking for souls like that aren't quite at the level of modern FROM games then maybe you could consider stuff like...
  • The Surge and it's sequel: A pair of highly underrated souls like.
  • Hellpoint: gameplay is janky but it's got a fun sci-fi world to explore.
  • Absterigos: A quirky souls-like, combat isn't quite as polished but it's still a fun game. The easiest in this list.
  • Lords of the Fallen (2023): A game that was pretty unpolished upon release, has been improved a lot through patching.

If you are into 2d souls-like:

None of the above are at the level of modern FROM games in term of difficulty but that doesn't necessarily mean you can easily steam roll through them either.

Thank you sir very much for taking the time to introduce me to these titles.

Life these days don't allow for much gaming; I couldn't care less about the gid gud nonsense, just want to play some quality hack / slash for fun. I'm about to start Nier next.

Do you think Ender Lilies and its sequel could also be recommended? (I don't even know if it counts as a 2D souls like) I have it in my library, but haven't played it, but the visuals are really pretty.
So far, the only soulslike I've played are Code Vein and this one, so I'm also kind of in the dark

I like a challenge, but also hate it when someone struggles for whatever reason and the "git gud" part of the community appears.
If you ever have the time, maybe you could spare some to search for the healthy part. I've heard some of them are really wholesome helping you out.
Also, I'm too a lover of Hack n' Slash games. Still have Nier Replicant pending

Sadly I haven't played those games so I wouldn't be able to tell you.

Sadly that part of the community has always existed and only gotten a lot worse with the success of Elden Ring. A significant portion of that community has made bosses that require extensive pattern memorization a central pillar of the experience (for better or worse). It is, however, worth pointing that not all souls game are like these. Most of the older titles, while challenging, never stood up to the level games like Elden Ring do. If you are interested in souls like but find ER bosses intimidating then you should try some of the older FROM games. Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne (sadly no PC)[www.playstation.com] being a fantastic starting point. These games have a rough learning curve but if you take some time to learn it you'll realize that they are nowhere near as hard as people hype them out to be. The whole "hard bosses = fun" thing is a relatively new thing.

When talking about ER, just don't listen to the elitists, the bosses can be hard but the game does provide you with tools to trivialize them. Nothing wrong with abusing spirit ashes and broken Weapon Arts in order to make the game enjoyable for yourself.

It is worth pointing out that Lies of P is getting an easy mode soon(tm), so it might be worth keeping an eye out if you are interested.

Games like Black Myth Wukong and Khazan are cleary on the bosses > everything else camp and should be approached cautiously by people that aren't in the mood of slamming themselves into a wall with every boss.

That's too bad as I actually intended to play Black Myth but if it's one of those trial and error 100 times game then forget; I have enough games to play and don't need frustrations. Thanks for heads up.

As long as it's in the game, I use everything there exist to make the game easier for me. I also like a challenge but not overcomplicating my playthrough. I think it's part of the fun finding and strenghtening summons (don't know if that's how summons work, but anyway haha) or finding a broken weapon and leveling it up to cut through bosses like butter. It's like everything I did to achieve that was worth it. I also say this because I remember a girl who was streaming got flamed by the chat for using summons to defeat Malenia in Elden Ring, She was enjoying herself until she read the chat.
Nah, my copy of the game, my playthrough, my style haha!

Thank you for the recommendations!

I might try Lies of P next. I love the aesthetics.

"I don’t have the time"

Then you don't have time to play games sounds like. No one has to convince you. You made the topic to argue with people.

just play them with cheat then.
I have 30 hours and I have completed the game and I can definitely say that the game is incredibly good, I did not expect great fireworks but I can happily say that the creators of the game did a great job.
