are you using the preorder bonus dualblades? because if that is what you are using then that is why you are struggling those things are complete ass. Stick with your starting weapon for most of the game regardless of build and its usually way stronger than most boss weapons with a few exceptions.

Those are strong i heard so its most likely your strategy/build. Church bosses are often vulnerable to pierce btw so try exploring and getting the corrupted blader greatsword that thing is nice if you dont mind using some points into strength instead of just technique. Dont worry too much about wasting stat points cuz youll be able to respec at a certain point.

the only bad pierce weapon i seen are the reapers but thats farther in the game than where youre at currently.
You mean tips for bosses in general or Three Faced Pardoner? For 3head there's a few tactics I had to learn to win like,
• Use Pierce weapons because that'll often stagger him out of the big attacks
• The big whirlwind attack when he teleports to the centre can be dodged by sprinting directly away from him to the outskirts of the arena
• You won't dodge the six tracking balls attack if you dodge too early or just sprint, wait until the first one is nearby and dodge horizontally
• When he hits approx 1/3rd HP he'll teleport to the centre for a big attack, and after that phase change he will always heal after the next teleport. So sprint towards the new location and start your weapon skill before he even spawns in to stagger him out of it
• It's not obvious at first if you don't know much about Souls or Soulslikes, but "explosion" attacks and lingering special effects (that aren't continuous beams or multihit attacks like whirlwinds) won't hurt you if you dodge the actual damaging part. Meaning if you dodge them you're often free to stand inside the giant lightning effects during the entire explosion and recovery.

As for normal bosses, it's hard to say without talking about a specific one or just going into basic combat advice. Mainly just learn how to Dodge + Parry and which bosses you should dodge or parry, you'll be fine with just those two skills.

hes actually one of the easiest boss to parry. he will most of the time use 2-3 hit combo, always dodge the right side. sneak one attack on his every swing.

Church bosses in general are hella vulnerable to pierce tho they are often also some of the most annoying non blader fights lol.

Yeah, Pierce is pretty silly. But then obviously something that does percentage based damage for free is going to be unfairly busted, even if it didn't also stagger the bosses out of attacks.
Also after encountering them again in the endgame area a second ago I just realised that I mixed up the Pardoner with the Choir Inspector so most of that doesn't help him. My bad. I guess Parrying and Dodging towards his scythe are the best bits of advice.

Choir inspector was made to annoy those of us who hated fire giant and micolash lol. Idk what it is about chase bosses but they always piss me off idk why.

You are probably have low hp. I noticed, that his strings delete 1/2 of my health bar. So basically I need to heal right after that. So I went to teleport with vending machine and farmed 2 white big dudes at the bottom. Each of them gives you 900 exp + loot. With 800 hp it is very manageable. You may invest some points in attack too. I was 40 lv when killed boss with greatsword only.

Very easy boss to parry. Very easy (along with necro boss) to just hug him and then he straight out misses many of his attacks.

Run well away and then run sideways on phase change.

Pierce takes so long to apply, sitting there swinging and it only applies on boss type monsters because the pierce takes so long to apply anything with less than a boss hp bar just fails to be a noticeable addition. unless you have fought and died to the boss b4 you really have no way of telling when it will apply either, so you can't really play strategically around the stagger, it's just a happy accident.
fire is weaksauce.
lightning also weak asf.
poison is nice i really like the thrown daggers, you can throw them to stop some boss abilities, which helps with your chase boss.
some of the spells are neat though. if they don't take a year to go off and you can potentially be knocked outta the ability. the mobs are too active for the spells and abilities to take so long. feels like you really lose out unless the monster literally cannot respond to the attack.
he's the recent boss I beat and he was by far the easiest for me. I dont use heals for bosses or skills but i usually use parry but for him I just dodged since it's way easier. I used the corrupted greatsword I got from a bladder and its +4. Just dodge, attack, dodge, attack. you want to hug him, his distance attacks are harder to deal with. got him in maybe 5-8 tries. if you use skills then the range skills copuld be used to stagger him after you hit him then you can follow up with another attack. light attacks was the way to go for me. He moves too often whenever I charged a heavy attack.

There's no stamina, if you're struggling to apply pierce that's because you aren't timing your weapon skills properly. The greatsword can cheese and inflict pierce even on necros enemies it's just longer to inflict on them.
Corrupted blader GS is the way bro, that ♥♥♥♥ can stun-lock almost every boss into the oblivion.
