[Spoiler] Lore & Story Explanation?

I'm getting lost here about pretty much everything, I need a recap.

So... long ass time ago Humans created Nyx, Father and Charon (are these super god beings robots/AI???). I don't know how and why, but they did. Eventually they surpassed and human and ♥♥♥♥ happens to Earth and now Earth is desolate and humans almost gone extinct?

So... there's this sunken city idk why this city is important or if there are other cities out there in the world, but apparently all the super beings are living there... Father with his Church acting like a mafia and doing whatever experiment stuff at Elysium for whatever reason? Charon is making Blades out of mud that for some reason oppose the church??? and there's this trees and branches stuff, she's trying to create a perfect lifeform (us) so they can go explore the space???? And Nyx spreading Necros virus for whatever reason???

Is that right or completely wrong? Idk man, the Endings are easy to understand, but I'm just very confused about the backstory and status quo of the world.

Also why's the title "AI Limit"?

charon explains the whole story. AI (them the robots) are at the evolution limit. their whole existence is evolution. there reason is to advance further and further, thats it. really they arent gods though, humans worshiped them as such due to there advancements.

as for the creation of why, think of skynet. it was a free thought AI that advanced rapidly and surpassed human knowledge... same thing here. the only difference is the AI here just wasnt to keep evolving and becoming better.
