We're sorry for the inconvenience. We'll update the initial page to automatically detect your system's language.
I was able to copy the save from my desktop so I didn’t lose progress, then i memorized the steps to change the language to English and did that on my laptop. So everything is ok now. But yes it was really strange that after a dozen hours of playing on my desktop and handheld when I installed it in my laptop it defaulted to Chinese and started a new game and overwrote my cloud save. I’m very lucky i was able to copy my local save on the desktop before the cloud save overwrote it with a fresh brand new game.
I'm quiting until it's solved... if not, I just give it a bad review: game don't save your progress. Don't lose your time or money, if you value it.
My guess is: the cloud update is broken. Instead of loading the latest save, it's downloading an old save file and overwriting my local data. Just great...
I'm trying again. I disabled automatic syncing with Steam Cloud, so we'll see what happens.
It's a shame about all these annoying issues. Because it's a great game.
Also, just a quick tip I want to impart to you for future reference after reading this post. When giving someone a path to something in the user directory, you can use %username% as a wild card in place of the profile's username in file explorer. So, for example you can use "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\SenseGames\AILIMIT" and this path will take you directly to the correct location no matter the username.
I'm really enjoying the game so far, keep up the good work!
1- When you close the game, copy/paste the 'Archive' folder into C:\Users\(Your username)\AppData\LocalLow\SenseGames\AILIMIT
Do this before you open the game again.
2- When you go back to playing AI-Limit, delete all the original files in the Archive folder and copy/paste only the 'ai-limit_sav-data.sav' file from your backup. Start the game through Steam as normal.
3- Enjoy the game from your last save point.
Perhaps just deleting these files and leaving only the main save file will solve the problem. Either way, you need to manually manipulate these files every time you exit the game and before starting it again or your progress will never be saved properly.
This is just a workaround. The devs need to fix this. At least it's playable now.
And make the backup as I instructed earlier, just to be safe.
EDIT:
Deleting all files in the 'Archive' folder except 'ai-limit_sav-data.sav' is enough to keep your last save point safe.
