Like it is super easy if you are some kind of Soul-like ProGamer grand-master level player.
You lose a sizable percentage of your exp that you can't recover, unlike a soulslike that would atleast give you a chance to retrieve it.
It's not really a true soulslike.
Combat involves keeping your SYNC balanced(instead of a stamina system, which is infinite in this one), you fill it by attacking so you can use spells, special moves, and the shield, but if you spam too much you won't be able to defend(besides dodge rolling). Status effects still get through the shield.
Exploration is a strong point, because it has lots of interconnected shortcuts and hidden items. The story is kind of generic though, and the MC starts with a very robotic personality and the overused amnesia back story.
That being said, it's still kicking my ass and I don't think it's gonna stop any time soon.
Although, parry is way easier than in the souls serie, as it's actually instant and not delayed.
I would be surprised if more than 20% of people will defeat some story bosses (good luck with Ursula).
1. evade
2. upgrade recharge then use gun!
3. upgrade gun dmg
way to play: hit hit shot evade.. repat. works for bosses
This game reminds me of Bloodborne gameplay style.
it's harder mechanically than code vein by a lot imo on most bosses your minion partner is pretty useless unless you run the 2h beast mode that can one shot mobs with a single ability. dude carries you through the game until you get to one of those dumb ambush spots where you get bum rushed by 30 mobs where he dies and so do you.
the game has a few bosses with 1 shot abilities that are really timed strangely so idk. thats still harder than any of the code vein bosses.
you're literally forced to do a perfectly timed dodge with a proper directional input just to phase the boss. it's pretty intense. idk how there aren't more people raging about this game, i feel like a SEER and can see the attacks coming before they happen and i still barely make it through boss fights how is anybody without almost superhuman reflexes progressing at all in this game?
gotta be daredevil or spooderman to finish some of these boss fights i tell you.
