What to do with seals?

I found 3 different, new seals, what to do with them? I cant find a way to change the equipped seal, it is not an equipment slot, and on the status screen you can just look at it

Also, all weapons I found so far are worse thane the starter Blader weapon you get at the start, so is it worth to upgrade them? Or are there better weapons later in the game?

You'll get a tool later, but it is missable, if you not searching locations. It's not so hard hidden,but you can easily go past it.
Regarding weapons, I already switched my shortblades at second location just to try new ones and liked them more. There will be rare drop of upgrade material from mobs later, so I would say go ahead and upgrade, you will get more.

It does seem strange to be getting these things without the game telling you what to do with them. The only info you get is an NPC in the first little town will mention you're missing a "needle" if you talk to her enough. You should stumble across it a little further into the area as an item to pick up. If you've encountered the first boss in the area you've gone past it.

I took the Blader 2h Sword this time and it's definitely had the highest attack power so far. Although I have found a couple that have side benefits over raw damage, like better stat scaling or status afflictions.
