No (super) ultrawide support - no money
I'll say it as blatantly as possible.

If you don't support 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions out of the box, you won't get any money from me.

There might be a fix out but i am sick of having to put up with this on every new game being released. It's 2025 and not 1999 anymore.

The ultrawide community already added it in:
https://github.com/p1xel8ted/UltrawideFixes/releases/tag/AiLimit
"ultrawide community"? Is that people who eat at mcdonalds?

It's one thing to not support it, but to be broken if the display is not exactly 16:9 in the year of our lord 2025, is just stupid.

I already found this and am happy it exists, i just will not buy games anymore that make me go through hoops just to get it to work on a modern display.

Besides this, this is some "guys code" which comes as a .exe and i just have to trust him that he's not doing anything malicious. Starting the game with this mod installed starts some command line which updates/downloads stuff. Again, i have to trust the dev.

tbf, game starts in borderless fullscreen and lets me choose a resolution (which is kinda odd as borderless fullscreen usually uses desktop resolution) and this makes it atleast so i don't have to fiddle around with driver settings to NOT STRETCH. That's a good thing.

The best thing would be just supporting resolutions outside of 16:9 (16:10, 21:9, 32:9 just to name a few).

- The "command line" as you call it, is the console window for BepInEx
- Source for the mod is here[github.com]
- It's a self-extracting archive created using NanaZip (7-Zip fork)

Judging by your name, you are the dev since it's your repo.
I absolutely know what you are talking about. I am a software dev myself. This doesn't mean i want to look for fixes for every single game out there made by great people like you and others.

It's very cool that you made that fix, as well as the one for vampire survivors. It's just that i really don't like to do this constantly and would rather have the devs just support it out of the box.

I really appreaciate your work and that you are making it publicly available. The only way to get the devs to switch minds and finally start doing what's right is by giving reasonable feedback and voting with my wallet.

I hope you do understand where my stance comes from.

Btw, in no way did i say that you are shipping malicious stuff, i just said that by looking into user made stuff out there makes people prone for this.
This is why you don't buy ultra wide. I don't see the appeal - except for sim racers - in getting one of these for casual gaming.

You seem to have pretty high assumptions for 1999. Back then, everything was 4:3.

Once you start working on a pc and earning money with it, you might see the benefit of displays beyond 16:9.

just to clarify this, i don't ONLY play on this rig.

my point still stands. you don't support modern displays? you don't earn my money. easy as that.

Well congrats on corroborating my claim.

How much money are you making from your only fans, and why do you need an ultrawide monitor for it? Are you using a wide angle lens too?

bro if you have to complain about every game not supporting ultrawide that might be a you issue
ultrawides are cool and all but it's well known to not have widespread software support
if you bought an ultrawide without knowing that that's on you

true
but at the same time quite a few uw users refuse to acknowledge that they're an extreme minority of users and demand support for every game that releases
i don't expect every keyboard i own to support qmk, even though it realistically wouldn't be that hard to do

Absolutely, i know what kind of a snowflake i am in the wide world of displays, still proper support for aspect ratios outside of 16:9 isn't exactly rocket science and even things like 16:10 and 21:9 are a lot more common compared to 32:9.
