Getting over it VR

I think it is time to make this game more relevant. I am a young developer and am looking for a new project. I am still learning however I have been trying to get Bennett Foddy because I am looking to turn this into VR. The only problem is I would need Permission from him and some way to get the map. Ya, it is not official though and it is very buggy and not great.

Wouldn't you have to make the whole map from scratch?
You are turning a 2D game into VR, a (usually) 3D platform.
The 2D map has no depth, so wouldn't you have to start from scratch?
