BUG: Hammer Stuck After Loading
First of all, Bennett, I really enjoy your game. I find it a great joy to play and the atmosphere in the sections is very nice to be in.

As much as I enjoy these atmospheres, I cannot say that I would like to be in them forever.

For instance, here is an awesome picture of me chilling by the hot tub with my new friend, Mr. Pumpkin: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/920291580052303562/1BE6E36D307E05ACEA8B981559BFFB059E2E2840/

Whenever one loads into the game, the hammer immediately goes to where one's cursor is - for better or worse. In this case, I have sniped this teeny tiny gap, however I suspect that there are many more locations that one can snag on. Also, instantly getting pushed away from anything you are nearby into the abyss is never fun as one did not incur this mistake on themselves.

I hope we can see about smoothing this over so I can make some BBQ for my new friend!

That hot tub one is a new one for me. It’s impossibe to completely prevent this because I tuned the physics to be very heavy and fast, which strains the engine. But I can do a lot to mitigate it by adding secondary colliders. I’ll add this one to the list.

Oh wait you said it happens after loading. Yeah this is a persistent bug. I can’t reproduce it on my computers... right now my hypothesis is that it’s related to the frame rate on load. Would you mind posting your hardware specs?

It's certainly not the best, but here it is! Forgive me if I miss anything.

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr.170810-1615)
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

Should be strong enough. Can I ask if it has an HDD or SSD drive? My suspicion is that this can happen if loading is quite slow. If I can figure out the cause, a fix should be easy (unfortunately this is a kind of situation that is super hard to detect and debug in code)

This rig is utilizing a HDD - a Seagate Barracuda (ST1000DM003) if it helps your studies.

Got the same type of glitch. It was my very first time to reach the tower at the end after countless hours, I was so excited that I was about to win the game, but then I had to get off. So i closed the game, and next time I open the game, the hammer is stuck in the side of the tower. I took a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/gTlhH

Frustrated.

In the last patch I took some steps to make this much less common, (I believe it has to do with the computer slowing down for a second or two on load, as shaders are compiled) but it seems it has not been totally eliminated.
