Why its Rage Inducing

It doesn't make me ma because its hard it makes me mad because its stupid you move your mouse the slightest and the mallet sends you thousands of feet in he air. when you go faster than normal the camera movement bounces you some times off the map, so the game ist even about skill its about rng. you would think your pick or axe or what ever wouldnt slide around. also throughout the game he tells you quotes from people who actually did something with their life, thinking hes some sort of philosopher for making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game in unity in your moms basement. this whol game is something you would find on r/im14andthisisdeep. what are your thoughts on the game?

Because everybody in modern gaming is used to "Save Game" and checkpoints and such.

Well, when video games were first invented, there were no such things. When you died, the game was OVER, and you had to restart from level 1. That's the age I come from. This game doesn't rage me out, because it's how video games used to be.

Most other people never lived through those days--or have forgotten them.

Eh, I dunno, there's been times I've been thrown off the mountain while my hand was off the mouse...
You can put the hammer out to the right to catch yourself but if game says no, Diogenes just on his own will launch the hammer to the right after it catches a surface.

Use max sensetivity, ive gotten 30 or so wins like that

I do use max sensitivity.

Its no rng. You are just not used to the controls and sensitiv enough.

I played yesterday after a long pause and still can do it. 16 min was actually no bad time either.

Its just training and once you get it it will stay like ride a bike.

Same, but orange hell still feels a lot like RNG. I can do it 5 times, and 3 of those are flawless and the other 2 launch me off the mountain back to the slide

i do most areas rather slow, so my best is 11 plus a few seconds and it wont be any better i guess.

I only keep playing it every once in a while to chill. Turn on swing.fm and go for a hike ;)

Maybe you need to be careful about how you move in the game. the only way the "slightest" movement is sending you flying is wayy to high sensitivity, or you are rushing everything and freaking out. dont be an idiot and just start swinging around the hammer hoping it grabs what it needs to. every movement should be deliberate and thought through. If you start falling, dont panic and start swinging around the hammer, you need to stop let yourself fall or you will make it worse. Unless you like speedrun the game trying to grab something while falling will make it worse. see? the game teaches patience.
