Random mouse spasms?
Does anyone else have the issue where the mouse randomly spasms and as a result you accidentally launch yourself 50 feet in the wrong direction? And let me be clear, I'm not talking about the mouse acceleration (which I like). What I'm talking about is I'll be moving my mouse as slowly as possible, making the least amount of motion, and then suddenly my mouse cursor will teleport to the complete opposite end of the screen and I'll launch myself all the way back to the beginning. Initially I thought it may be some sort of intentional game mechanic? To simulate nervous muscle spasms in stressful situations? Idk.

It's not a huge deal, and I can put up with it for the most part, but it is painfully frustrating when I lose all of that progress and it's NOT my own fault.

Here are my specs if for some reason they are needed:

AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor
AMD Radeon HD 6570 1GB
16 GB DDR2
Windows 7

I have this issue playing PUBG if I use a wireless mouse - it turned out my Wifi was interfering with my mouse.

Do you have a second pointing device attached to your computer?

Sometimes I feel like I have this problem too but also Im playing on a crap macbook air that can't even run the game smoothly on worst quality so it might just be that. I use a mouse attached to a laptop so that might be part of the 2 pointing devices. Either way great game, glad to see you around, just thought I'd toss my 2 cents.

Exactly, but I consider this as the bug which the developer deliberately made to fustrated players at first...

I was using a wireless mouse before, but today I tried it with a wired mouse. I feel like it's a little bit better, but not completely gone....

At first I thought this was just another way to troll the player. But it seems to have gotten a lot worse (nearly unplayable) after having my computer on all day. I'm wondering if DPC latency has anything to do with it.

Update your mouse driver? Your mouse pad is dirty and or dirty mouse on bottom? Mouse is going bad? I have had this problem, I switched mouse pad and cleaned everything, updated driver and later updated to windows 10. Oh I I banged the mouse against the desk a few times. All of that worked for me.

Oh I dont play this game, just looking at it... so I dont know about and game mechic, But It happened in shooters/WoW before like you described.

I've only noticed this in 'Getting Over It'. I've found that running the game as lean as possible (smallest resolution, lowest graphics settings, minimal multitasking) makes this issue show up a lot less frequently, still happens. i7-2600, gtx1070, 32GB Ram. I'm thinking more and more that the game's internal handling of mouse control doesn't like being interrupted. :|

It uses RawInput for a higher response rate. I’m starting to think I should switch to DirectInput for better compatibility. I’ll post a patch for it next week.

Jesus Bennett, it's still happening to me on Linux, both native and Proton. Your frustrating game is frustrating me more than it should!!!!!

Jokes aside, did you ever push that patch?
