Totally worth it and very satisfying. After a while I stopped caring about how long it took me, as long as I felt like I was making progress. I could see myself getting better even as I was stuck on certain obstacles for a long time.
The rocks right past the orange took me the longest. Every time you fail you have to do the staircase and whatnot again... So the learning loop is very slow. The icy mountain (right after the bucket) took me the second longest.
To anyone who is reading this thread and feels discouraged by all the fast times people are posting, don't worry about it! Just play at your own speed. If you are having fun, it doesn't matter what other people are doing.
Most people who took a long time to finish or just simply gave up after a while aren't gonna be posting on this thread (they probably don't even know about the community section). This thread is a non-representative sample :)
EDIT: I just realized people are talking about the time reported by the game on the run where they first beat it. Huh. I think that explains a lot of the fast times.
I don't know how accurate the Steam "playtime" number is, but conceptually that feels a lot more meaningful to me. Especially if you ever clicked "new game" (which I did many times).
Edit: Playtime is not accurate, I played on a mac as well.
