Because it's usually a good PR move to get exposure to you and your game. I'm not saying the developer "needs" to reach out but I'm curious as to if he's seen the video and what he thought about it, does he enjoy the anger caused? That kind of thing. If he doesn't ever reply or say he's indifferent or that he got a kick out of it or something, that's cool too.
