My first thought after looking up youtube and seeing this was a problem and not designed was a lag issue. I had all graphics to highest settings, so even though my PC should easily be able to run this game at max, I tried turning them all down to their lowest settings. No improvement.
Perhaps a driver issue, or some kind of incompatible software, but I'm not running anything custom or unique with this game, so I don't know what it could be. My current built is all common stuff so I was hoping that someone else would have seen this and know the problem.
I'm stumped. And the little table at the Orange Hell is the top of the mountain for me (at least for now).
I cannot get past this part for the life of me. Every time, I get stuck on the stairs and fall back to the grill. I try to pull myself up but the hammer goes the opposite direction of where I want it to and occasionally teleports all over the place, making it nigh impossible.
I know about the rotation thing, as that's how the speedrun I watched does it. For most of the run he keeps it extended fully and just swings it in precisely timed circles. Perhaps I wasn't clear, but even when trying to rotate, there's still the lag. He'll do half the rotation, pause for a split second, and do the other half. I did some further testing and if he's sitting still on the ground, no lag either way, but if I'm moving through the air, there's the lag. Currently my guess is some kind of incompatibility or software bug on my end (possibly in my mouse driver, as that's somethign I saw you mention somewhere after posting this thread, and I have a cheap made-in-China "gaming mouse"), but IDK for sure. Either way I'm stopping on the top of OH for now and will come back after I do an upgrade (eventually, whenever that will be) and try again. Thanks for the reply, though!
