no sound in game

I just purchased the game and I have no sound with headphones or speakers

1) make sure your speakers or headphones are plugged in before launching the game
2) make sure the output device you want is set as the default audio output device in Windows sound settings
3) try rebooting

Bennett, I have the same issue. my headphones are plugged into my speaker, my speakers are set as the default audio device. I have reinstalled and rebooted multiple times and cannot get sound to work when sound works with everything else on my computer.

The only time I got sound is when I have my computer hooked up to my TV via HMDI and played the game and sound came through the TV

Sorry, that sounds frustrating. It looks like this is a Unity bug which is currently in the process of being fixed (bug report here[issuetracker.unity3d.com]. I think a workaround right now will be to disable HDMI audio in your device manager.

Bennett, I've a similar issue. After hours of playing and falling, I can hear all sound effets but no more music and no more speech by you. Your lovely voice is expired. Why? I need that to continue my frustration. It's not funny to falling down and hear nothing. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, but nothing changed. Thanks for help

Bennett, do you think there is a possible failed sound file in my game that would make it so I can't hear anything? I installed this game about a week ago and it has no sound but my brother installed this game today and he has sound. I already verified the game files and made my speakers the default so im not sure what is going on. Thanks for any help you can offer.

i also have no sound and tried each suggested solution :/ it worked in the beginning but after 4 hours i don't hear anything no grunts no hammer sounds nothing :/ the game is still fun but not as alive as it was.. please fix

Can you look at your audio device list and disable HDMI audio output (assuming this isn’t your preferred audio device). There’s a bug in unity where sometimes it sends audio to HDMI instead of your selected default device. I’m waiting on their fix.

the problem resolved itself somehow im sorry i cant reproduce it, i did disable all output except my headphones even the ones which were enabled but disconnected. Unfortunately i cant give you a reasonable Bug Report. I guess it is the Unity bug you mentioned but the "solution" didnt help back then.

I Have all the things listed on your suggested bennet and it doesn't work also whenever I change the volume of getting over it in my mixer settings it makes a buzzing sound when I move the slider.

Same issue here, sound work 0.1s at the start of the menu screen and after there is no more sound at all
