Any tips on how to jump higher/further?
I've gotten past the stairs a couple times now (haven't won yet :D). But one thing I'd like to figure out which would help me get a bit faster on my inevitable restarts would be the slide skip... I'm not even remotely close though, maybe like, 2/3 of the way there on my best attempts.

How do you get the height for that? Do I need to tweak mouse sensitivity? Play at less than 1080p?

i dont think any of that effects it, you simply need to learn how to launch yourself at that angle, what i do is get on the edge of the building, pull all the way back and swing my dude over the building, and with the right timing i go from pulling around to pulling strait up which normally will send ya flying, simply try what works, it wasn't easy for me to learn and i still aint perfect at it, i cant do the jump without first doin a windup, and im quite sure the windup probablly isn't even affecting anything, and of course watch speedruns of the game, i recomend lumonen

Max sensitivity helps too
This is exactly what I do, except I have my hammer about 1 width away from the edge of the roof. Here's a clip to demonstrate:

Lower resolution will make things worse, not better, because more accurate movements require higher resolution and higher DPI. Don't play without "Use trackpad turning" ON. You're just setting yourself up for failiure and forcing yourself to rely on uncessessary levels of mouse sensitivity. Most of it is muscle memory. You won't know what you're doing wrong until you do it right repeatedly.

The biggest mistake people make is "thinking" they're moving the mouse in a direction when they're not because of the way the game tracks and auto-centers the mouse around the hammer. Its NOT the same as moving your mouse around the desktop or a FPS game. It is possible to move the mouse "too fast" and the game doesn't like that either.

CPU hicups and struggling will also affect the physics. The game engine is far from perfect.
