Getting over it with saving and loading!

I have written a tool to save and load your progress (BUT NOT QUICK SAVE/QUICK LOAD) when playing the game.

Well, I know the developers may hate what I do, but considering the difficulty, I think using a little trick can be tolerated :).

Indeed.
But I think some people who don't have strong will can also enjoy the game, if there is a way to make the game easier.

This ruins the spirit of the game..

People without a 'strong will' will learn to get one if they push through and persist. Don't encourage people to take the easy way out on what is supposed to be a legitimate, meaningful challenge.

Not everybody will enjoy every game. i dont like games with only basic turn based combat so i just dont play these kind of games. i DONT just rip out the turn based combat out of the game because i dont like, that would destroy the game and the entertainment it would have provided.

If you dont like to play games that are challenging, with psychological distress / horror why would you play this game, why do you expect to have fun with it?

We're on PC gaming. People will mod games to hell and back. That's just what we do. Yes, you could rip out the turn based combat out of a turn-based game and that's fine. People have done crazier sh*t before.
You can't stop him anyway. If he somehow has spreading that mod disallowed here, he will just do it outside of Steam via Github or some blog.

Doing it via registry? Why not read and modify the coordinate variables in game, then you don't need to return to the main menu.

Good idea.
In fact, I intended to hack the game directly at the very beginning. But I changed my mind after I found they just put saves in registry without any encryption(you can modify the XML saved in registry).
Well, that is to say, I am too lazy.
(If you have some ideas about hooking or hacking the game easily, please tell me XD)

I have admitted I ruin the meaning or spirits of the game at the beginning. I never think what I do is right for developers or any other HARDCORE like you.
But someone may need it, that's why I write this tool.

The narrow minded will look at the short-term objective of this tool, in helping complete the game only. Meanwhile, time to watch Lumonen beat it in under a minute through the one true perfect route now that there are basically "save-states" :D
