Then I fell at the snake and was like that's enough for now. I came back to it today after it updated and I'm at 20 falls on that last rock with no grip to speak of. There are a few pixels that stick better right at about 90% of reach but even then it just slides off before vertical.
I switched over to the pogo method speed runners use because of this.
Maybe the friction didn't get change and it's all in my head but it's seriously night and day different feeling when playing that section.
Can someone please teach me the pogo method?I can't find a video of it

go on the top of previous rock and angle youself to the right. With that said, if nothing has changed in that area, then I still think the other way is easier. You dont go too slow on it, since your axe will slip no matter what, you just have to move fast enough to get up but not too fast that it moves where the axe is.
