In the meantime you can probably change how your 21:9 monitor deals with lower resolutions by using the picture setting in the monitor menus.

Speaking of which, it'll be super hard to do a 21:9 layout for this game, since i'd need to make extra mountain all over the place so you don't just see empty space. I'll do some experiments at least to see if I can reproduce the issue.
managing to press apply fixes it again
This happened to me as well. If you run into this issue, you have to modify the game settings manually as applying a correct resolution ingame will no longer be possible:
For windows user, its located in your registry under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Bennett Foddy\Getting Over It\" and for the linux folks among us, under "/steamapps/compatdata/240720/pfx/"
What you want to do is the following, set ResolutionHeight_*, ResolutionWidth_* to a 16:9 resolution (e.g. 1920x1080 for 2560x1080, 2560x1440 for 3440x1440 and so on), while you set "NativeHeight_*" and "NativeWidth_*" as well as "Screenmanager Resolution Height_*" and "Screenmanager Resolution Width_*" to your monitors native 21:9 resolution.
That way you have the game letteredboxed with black bars on the left and right, running at the games native resolution.
@bennett,
I hope you can fix this issue
Upon the first start, for some reason the mountain in the main menu was missing and only the hammer appeared... upon restart it was there. couldnt manage to replicate this again tho.
Type in your windows Search bar, "Change the resolution of the display"
Click the system settings "Change the resolution of the display" option that appears.
Under "Display resolution" select "1920 x 1080"
Press "Keep Changes"
On Getting Over It, press escape for the settings menu.
Then, on "Resolution" select 1920 x 1080 on any of the Hz values and press APPLY
Then, on Getting Over It again, select 2560 x 1080 on the highest Hz (Refresh rate) possible and click apply.
Then, go back to the Windows Display Settings menu and under "Display Resolution" again, select 2560 x 1080 and "Keep Changes"
Go back to Getting Over It. It should be working. Hope this helped :)
