FPS constantly fluctuating. How can a game like this be harder to run than Battlefield.

Yeah, that sure sounds like a poorly optimized game. Or the game is doing a ton of work that seemingly isn't justified by the lack of stuff that's going on in the scene. Maybe the physics aspect of the game is very taxing?

Some graphics drivers don't like the motion blur, try turning that off. It is also quite shader bound, so don't run it at 4k resolution. But people have achieved 60fps on a 2012 macbook air by reducing quality settings, so if it still runs slow at that point, I feel like there's probably something else draining resources on your computer.

Well I dont know what it could be, I can run more demanding games better. Im running at 1080p, lowest settings and yes, my framerate is around 300+ but occasionally dips to under 60 which isnt normal. It isnt my PC, more likely is the game.

Really? Thats really odd. I have never experienced a program interfering with a game. I dont know what it could be.

Figured out what the issue was. Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defence seemed to be interfering with the game. Added it to the whitelist and now all is fine.

Bitdefender thought it was a virus. But it’s not wrong lol

I had this exact same problem, and it was fixed by whitelisting it in the Advanced Threat Defense settings in Bitdefender. I have an overclocked Ryzen 7 1700 and a GTX 1070 GPU, but this game was so laggy that it was pretty much unplayable until I whitelisted it. Everything runs fine now

Ok cool, that is a relief. Yeah the game is definitely heavier on performance than it should be, but I know people finished it on very weak hardware at least on low settings. Maybe I'll send an email to Bitdefender to let them know.
