I almost bought this game because I thought it was Unrecord (the bodycam game with the viral trailer a while ago)...

Just a PSA for anyone who might've made a similar mistake. A while back a mindblowing trailer of a bodycam FPS game dropped and, upon seeing the release of this game, I thought it was the same title.

It's not. That title was called "Unrecord." Level Cap did a nice video explaining the confusion here:

This title, Bodycam, appears to be very similar in concept, it even uses the same Unreal Store-bought map. I'm not going to accuse it of anything but, in my case, I think I will hold out on purchasing until both games come out.

I was told they changed the name. Not sure why, but if all they did was change the name it very well could be the same creators. I personally think it is the same people.

Whoever told you that is wrong. You can find Unrecord on steam. This is the original game that created hype all over social media.

Bodycam is a game thrown together quickly by 2 people who saw an opportunity to profit from the hype surrounding unrecord. It's exactly why the game is missing some pretty important features like dedicated servers and anticheat hidden behind the "Early Access" tag as an excuse. The Early Access tag has been abused on Steam for YEARS.
