Listen, bud... I am an average player. Sometimes I do well, sometimes I do badly. There are cheaters in the game, sure, but they are not prevalent in the game.
2025 Update: Head over to forums like unknowncheats.com, and you’ll find numerous discussions about cheats actively being used in this game. Why? Because there’s no anti-cheat system in place. Users on these forums even discuss how people stream on platforms like Twitch while actively cheating, exploiting the absence of anti-cheat protection. This game has essentially become a hacker’s playground.
To illustrate how vulnerable the system is, anyone with Cheat Engine can load it up, modify their health to six billion, and become invincible. The lack of anti-cheat systems makes this game a haven for hackers, creating what can only be described as a “hacker killing spree zone.”
Adding insult to injury, there are no private lobbies, meaning players are forced to match with randoms—many of whom might be exploiting these cheats. This isn’t just frustrating; it introduces significant security risks. If the developers are this negligent about cheat moderation, their server security could be just as poorly managed, potentially exposing players’ personal information. At this point, the game is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
The terms of service barely cover hacking, with vague statements buried at the very end of the agreement. However, the one thing they’re strict about is the prohibition of selling cheats. The agreement is riddled with holes when it comes to hacking but oddly specific about not allowing the commercialization of cheats.
If private lobbies were available, this game could potentially justify being a purchasable product. However, given its current state—multiplayer-only with no anti-cheat protections—it feels like the developers have practically invited this chaos. The entire situation is like a carefully laid chessboard designed for hackers to dominate.
I've also seen the vids of them cheating..they can see a bright stick image of players through walls and are crouched ready to blow you away. One guy teleported onto the worn house roof not once but twice. They expect us to host the games yet we have no power to kick/ban cheats and team killers. I honestly don't think this game will ever be finished they've had plenty of time to iron out the issues like fatal error, adding dlss, game opening in windowed mode, everyone spawning in a group stuck together, 6 months and the only good thing they've done is make it possible to get through doors first attempt.
If they ever do add anti cheat people will probably have moved on to Unrecord or something similar.
Have you ever checked your lobby settings?
