Your playing at 1080p (closest thing to 2k) or do you mean 1440p?, the y added a film grain, but beyond that, it looks the same, atleast at native 4k maxed out.

Stop upscaling and it will look way crisper, but you’re going to lose a lot of FPS. Also make sure you’re playing in Fullscreen mode with the correct resolution.

Setting up the HDR properly will help also.

I'm in the same boat as the OP, the trailer looks so clean compared to my experience.
7950X3D, 7900XTX, 32Gb RAM and installed on NVME.
4K everything maxed out.

Only thing i'm missing is HDR on due to my screen not supporting it.
HDR off can't be dropping that much quality from the PR videos shown, could the drop in quality be AMD specific?

No upscaling used, everything rendered at native res so I can't even blame FSR/DLSS for washing the image out.

@Monk most crazy thing I read all year. I want to give you a jester.

1.a) 1080p is not closest to 2k.
1.b) 2k res is 1440p (2560x1440).
1.c) No HDR will not help with Film Grain

Companies don't call it "1k" for 1080p even tho it is.

2K makes no sense is my point, only those who follow daft marketing use it, the 2 in 2k would be closest linked to 1920x1080 as it most closely resembles the 1920 horizontal pixels, in the same way that 4k is used as it is 4x 1080p and 3840x2160 with the 3840 being close (ish) to 4000 horizontal pixels.

As such, 2k makes zero sense to represent 1440p's 2560 horizontal pixels.

If anyone was to call 1080p 1k that would suddey be referencing the vertical pixel count, not the horizontal.

Long story short, call it 1440p as 2K is actually a cinema resoloution of 2048 x 1080, so if you want people to know what you are using, use the right terms not dumb marketing bs.

This is a quarter of 2K is a quarter of 4K as well.
People don't seem to realise that its not just twice as many pixels to render. It's four times which is why many cards will struggle. Its a huge jump from 2K.
