Bodycam

This game is 90% bought assets and stock unreal graphics
Just noticed this when I clicked on this. It seems like most recent „bodycam“ games use stock unreal lumen (overcast HDRI), apply some post processing and just bash all marketplace assets like the maps, guns and even animations. 30$ for a tech demo seems alot imho

So what. There is nothing wrong with using store assets.

That is literally what they are there for, if it's so simple go do it yourself?

You understand what an asset store is for right?

The issue is, is that using store assets removes any uniqueness to the game as well as just screams low effort. There’s nothing wrong with using store assets as placeholder but with the fact that the game is mostly store assets and they’re selling it for 35$? Hard pass.

Usually, you try to edit the bought assets and mix them with custom or other assets so it doesnt look so blatant but 90% of this is mostly stock assets and bought content. I would understand if the price wasnt 1/2 of an AAA game. Its basically a reshuffled Lumen Unreal tech demo where the actual heavy lifting is done by the marketplace creators. Its like all across the board, not just one aspect lol.

So what? Make your own game and stop moaning that someone else did that

the problem with assets is that you have to adapt them to the gameplay. they also quickly become boring if you've seen them several times in other games...
