Unrecord looks way more polished especially animations/physics and gunplay wise. Also evidently Unrecord has far more skilled lookdev artist(s) as the game looks overall better and the 3D Scans are utilized/implemented well.
As soon as Unrecord comes out my bet is that this game is going to be 100% dead since it's just bad from the core just like Project L33T was for example which got totally obliterated by Breakout Infinite.
tf hell no it does not look like a "basic indie fps" xD and Project L33T was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad from the start. that felt like a ♥♥♥♥ ass alpha and Arena Breakout almost feels like a late EA... no wonder Breakout ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on that game
Arena: Breakout isn't also a very good game. It has potential but the current state is just méh to be honest. But it's true, Project L33d got obliterated but this isn't the only reason. The other reason is also that people don't trust the developer behind Project L33d, which is the same developer as WarZ, Romero's Aftermath (Which tried to lift on the success of DayZ), Wild West Online (which tried to lift on the success of Dead Redemption 2) and now Project L33d (which try to lift on the success of EFT).
People don't trust the developer anymore, since they drop games early in development. They are know to try to lift on other developers success, cash grab and then get the f*ck out.
Now back to the rest of the topic.
It depends on how good the developer keeps supporting and maintaining Bodycam. First rule to keep it alive, deal harsh with cheaters and come with content updates.
I don't have any problem if developers use Unreal Assets. As long they still build their own game, and not just use basic templates and throw assets packs on it, just how they did it with The Day Before. Everything that The Day Before did, using templates and throw assets on top of it, done. They didn't even change the whole UI, it's all straight out of the store.
If a developer uses a UI pack from the store and make their own changes, or even upgrade the UI, then I don't have much problems with it. Same with weapons, meshes, characters, objects, textures etc.
Did you even know that triple AAA studio's even buy assets? For example from Quixel. Funny that people think that triple AAA studio's develop everything themselves. They have a higher budget, so they can hire freelancers or even buy assets that isn't public accessible due high prices and business models.
It just baffles me that people believe that triple A studio's doesn't buy assets.
