Does riding style matter?
Apart from a different look as to how the rider corners and a different view in first person mode, does it really make any difference in riding performance? Like does the old school style suffer in cornering as opposed to the body out style?

Does the view change in helmet cam mode? I haven't noticed a difference between body out, shoulder out, and standard.

I'm wondering this also. I was doing a quick Grand Prix race just to test it out/grab a couple of achievements. I did one race with Rossi, the next with Lorenzo, and the last with Marquez. I noticed that with Rossi/Lorenzo, cornering felt a bit tight and I needed to anticipate leaning into the corner more. With Marquez, it felt a lot smoother and I was putting in much better lap times around Catalunya.

I'm not sure if it's the bike or the riding style, but it felt like Marquez and his bike were a lot better to handle than Rossi/Lorenzo's Yamaha's. Has anybody else experimented a lot with different riding styles and found a noticeable difference in leaning, cornering, and tire wear?

I have no firm evidence, but for me it seemed to make it easier (or more natural to *me*) in helmet cam view or on bike view. I've never liked any of the on bike views before in any motorcycle game but this one worked for me. I picked old school. I'm playing hard/pro and haven't suffered for it yet, but I've only just worked my way up to motogp, from moto3,moto2 career.

I found Lorenzo/Rossi/Yamaha combination faster than honda, but that's just riding style preference.

I play with old school style too. Mainly because when you go into corners it doesn't look like your rider is hitting the ground and I feel like I don't have to worry about him actually hitting the apex and making him fall off. I might just bee all mental though.

See I'm kind of the opposite. I seem to hit corners much better when the rider leans so much that they actually have to tuck their knee back IN. I'm not sure if you ride in real life, but for me cornering in real life feels more comfortable when I'm hanging off the bike instead of staying glued to the seat.

So in-game when the rider gets some movement, it helps gauge how far over he is and how to take the corner from that. And not only that, but I just *feel* like cornering isn't as stiff when the rider shifts his weight over and off the side of the bike. But again, that might be a placebo effect, which is why I was wanting to see what others thought lol
