Mouse cursor fix (kludge)
The mouse pointer relocates itself to the middle of the screen every other scene and is a bit distracting. There isn't a way to hide the cursor in game, so we can do the next best thing. Set your mouse cursor to a transparent mouse cursor, and the cursor will no longer be visible in game. Windows instructions follow:

I downloaded mine at cursor.cc, called it transparent_cursor.cur and dumped it in the C:\Windows\Cursors folder. Go into your mouse settings, click "Additional mouse options". Go to the "pointer options" tab and select "Show location of pointer when I press CTRL key" if you think you might have difficulty keeping track of an invisible pointer. Go to the "pointers" tab, select the browse button, select your transparent cursor file in the browse window and hit OK. Your cursor will now be invisible. You can still tell when the cursor is over a button or a link or whatever because the button will change color, or the cursor will change to a different non-transparent cursor when you hover over something like the edge of a window, etc. This means you can get into the game and play without the cursor standing in the middle of the window all the time. Mash the CTRL key to see where your invisible pointer is if you set that option.

To get your mouse cursor visible again, you're going to do some light keyboard warrioring.
Press Win+R and then type "main.cpl" and hit enter to open the mouse control panel. Press Tab until a black dotted rectangle appears around the "Buttons" tab header. Press right/left arrows until the "Pointers" tab is selected. Alt+B to browse, hit Tab until a block dotted line box surrounds one of the cursor file names, then up/down arrow your way to a normal arrow cursor and hit enter on the once you want.

Now I just want a way to disable the grey/black arrow and sword icons that appear at the bottom of the screen. Maybe they can be resource hacked out of the game.
