Pay to win is not a question

This game is 100% pay to win, people are trying to loophole this phrase by saying everything you can buy you can unlock by playing.. First off that is not true there are amulets that are 100% only purchasable by crystals and if you get to level 20 and spend all of your crystals the only chance you have of getting more is to either purchase them/delete your account and start over or win a tournament.. The latter is impossible because of the pay to win factor. People have spent hundreds of dollars pimping out characters and getting to over 10k HP.. I've seen this there is no argument here. It is no longer possible to participate and place in a tournament unless you have been playing since before the steam release. So the advantage paying players have is huge and no amount of skill will surpass a fully geared out team.

The devolopers are not stupid enough to label their own game P2W... (Obviously) So its called a F2P. The people who have spent the most money on this game will label it F2P and defend the devs because they want people with no money to get pounded over and over again.

Stop defending this game and saying its not a pay to win game.. It is 100% a pay to win game. Just because you can unlock mostly everything by grinding for about 8 months getting your ass kicked by geared out players. Does not mean it is not a P2W game.. If you pay you are going to win. If you don't pay you will lose for most of the time it takes you to grind the gear and farm everything and rest assured that is a long ass time. So if you are very patient and dont mind getting butt rammed by pay to win players or the old guards who got lucky enough to win tournaments months ago then by all means call this a Free to play and enjoy.

That rant being said.. This game can be fun the graphics are great the physics are fun the maps are also very cool. I like the way the game plays.. But the Mobile phone app pay to win model is absolute crap and should be dealt with so we can have an actual playerbase and play this game without waiting for 2 hours in a Queue.

You do realise that if you started playing with nothing and lvl 20 the cost of max gear and full amulets would be less than £25 right? Which would put you on EXACTLY the same level as everyone else? I am already lvl 15, only played since steam launch, and still find I can compete. If I need to put my hand in my pocket when I hit level 20 then so be it, quite happy to pay for this title.

Also, you are wrong about the tournaments, I was speaking to someone today who played in the last one and didnt even make the semis and got 1300 crystals. He has only been playing a few months.

And its a teamplay game, you might not have the best gear but play safe and team up with your team for some epic battles. Gear doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥, brains does.

Good point Bubba, I am finding more often than not I am teamed up in games with lots of lvl 20's, ok I dont get to the top of the leaderboard anymore but it doesnt mean I am not useful. Every class can contribute, as all class have skills which can be effective regardless of lvl and gear. So even whilst you level up you can play a role in games. It is not like they put all the lower levels on one team and the high levels on the other.

I already covered this.. By saying it is no longer possible "unless" you have been playing before the steam release.. So yea a few months was back when not everyone was geared and it was possible to place in tournaments.. You can bet your ass that you will not be placing in any unless you spend money or wait about 8 months to catch up to the geared out teams.

Spend some money then, the developer do need to buy food you know. Not sure what you do for a living but pretty sure you dont do it for free.

As I have 'already covered' you can get fully geared for £25, pretty much sorted for £12, not a lot really is it.

You are incorrect it costs more to get fully geared.. You are completely forgetting about how much it costs to upgrade your gear to be competative.. Full level 20 gear nets a zerk around 6,500 hp with no runes. Fully upgraded gear with the best runes nets you 10.5ish HP. It costs more money on crystals to upgrade and resupply gold to get those values then it costs to purchase the level 20 gear. So in all actuality once you get to level 20 you will find out just how pay to win the game really is.

correction: pay to progress faster, anything you can achieve in the game you can pay for too, pay 2 win is if you cannot achieve the items in the game normally, you had to buy them, no such thing in this game.

I was counting runes and amulets, cant give exact figures as game is down, but I worked it out the other day, with runes and amulets for 7 days came to about £25. Then I need to farm the mats to sustain it. Not 100% sure if it is possible, would need to try it to find out. That said I have already got the mats for 3 amulets and level 7-14 gear without spending anything, so could well be possible.

One more thing.. I don't have a problem spending 20 dollars to help the devs out, by all means you are correct everyones gotta eat.. But my issue with the game is that they pay to win aspect needs to be feasible for everyone... I think 150 dollars for a fully geared out berserk is just a bit much. And the reason that is a bit much is because level 20 is not even the cap level 30 is.. Most people are already spending upwards of 100 dollars to pimp their characters out in about a month they will raise the cap to level 30.. Now if you were able to stay at level 20 and play that would be fine but you are not. You are forced to level up. Think about it.

Yea you can craft the crappy amulets.. You cannot craft the best amulets. You have to purchase those with crystals.

Think they one you craft is the 7 day one but you can buy a 30 day one with the same stats. Dont think there is any buff you can only buy, just duration, same with both runes and amulets.

amulets and time runes is enough p2w to stop playing and yes OP have 100% rights
