Completing challenges (discussion)

So, I've noticed a few things regarding challenges and the player base.

1) Player base thinks the challenges are unbalanced.

I agree with this. It's impractical to do majority of the challenges. Remembrance, Earth power 1 (maybe 2 as well) and trade power 1 (maybe 2 as well), are pretty much the best anyone is going to get, aside from the very high level players who have enough bonus to do the nature challenges.

2) Challenges seem to be the most viable when you have gold membership.

It makes it 100% times easier. I'm currently doing earth power 2, and I probably could have finished it within 12 hours. But sadly I went to bed at like, 4 or 5 hours into the members and lost the rest of it.

3) Daily deck streak resets during challenge.

I found out the hard way. Lost a 9 day streak when I was trying to do ice power 1.

Here's what I believe will let you complete challenges. Note: these are just things I found to work/be helpful.

1) Don't start any challenges unless your daily deck has no streak, or low enough for you to be okay with it resetting.

2) Save medal rewards that deal with guild membership & second shift. It'll be annoying since you'll have to gather guild crowns yourself, but it's helped in the long run.

3) Regardless of challenge, focus on earth damage until other damage can consistently equal or overcome earth damage.

4) Enhancements and sphere levels have been a core reason I've been close to completing higher challenges.

5) If you get golden call for your first VIP card, save the rest of the green crystals for gold membership. other cards in VIP aren't really worth it compared to gold membership.

Some of the little advice I can give is to start your run just a little before midnight. Your challenge will then benefit from 2 dailies within the span of like 20 minutes.

Yeah, they are unbalanced for now, but I would say, you can do clicker 1 and 2, earth 1 and 2, traders 1 and 2 and ice 1 and 2 without problems.

The 2s are longer than 24 hours.

The nature ones are also doable, even with low multiplier.
You only have to exit your guild every 30 minutes. You can level all guilds in this challenges.
The cards, medals etc etc stay.
This challenge wil also take longer, but if you exit your game (for sleep or something like this) and start it again, the time is reset to 30 minutes. So you do not have to do them in one go.

Yes, the gold membership is vital in my opinion. But you get enough green crystals to buy the three hours in all 1s and 2s at the discount.

2.) Yeah, save them if you are going to sleep. If you have some hours to play, you can buy them. And after some time you can afford the autocollect on both, guilds and heroes.

4.) I agree. All things you can get with medals helps a lot.
5.) I end up with 4 to 6 VIP cards and have the goden guild running almost all time. My rule of thumb is, have 100 green crystals on hand and put the remaining in VIP

And the conversion rate from normal to green crystals is very good, if you have some normals left. (I havent changed them for now, but if I get tigth, I maybe do it).

2s probably are. But I was very close to completing earth 2 under 24 hours. I sadly spent more green crystals on VIP cards instead of gold membership XD

Probably, assuming you're not stupid like I was. XD I put 400 into VIP cards. I've only gotten a total of 453 green crystals. Also, converting normal to green is a waste in my eyes. So unless you're someone who's already very far ahead, I.E. got all/almost all the VIP cards, saving your normal crystals for the actual game better.

Technically, not all things with medals helps. Like, why can you still unlock challenges, within a challenge? XD But yeah, pretty much everything else is helpful in some fashion

I still don't have any idea how you have enough green crystals to have 4-6 VIP, 100 on hand, and stay gold membership.

On the low end, you've spent 200 on VIP, and have spent at least 35 on golden. So you've gotten in total 335. But with the fact that you said that power 2s are longer than 24 hours, you've spent at least 140 on golden. So thats 440 crystals. I've only just gotten 450 crystals, and I'm at 2 days, and gotten lucky with the dice game.

The only way I can think of for you having enough crystals early enough, is doing the midnight trick, to get double daily.

Oh, also, couple things that I've learned during my earth power 2 playthrough.

6) For the most part, you only need 5 heroes.

It's unlikely you'll get enough gold to unlock useful heroes. You can use the crowns/cups instead to speed up your game via gold/materials.

[EDIT] If you do unlock a useful hero, you can buy another hero slot for them.

7) Only automate the spheres you need.

It saves on dust, and lets you speed up the spheres that will actually help. For example, the first and third spheres are all I use in earth power 2. So why waste dust on spheres 2, and 4? Especially when 4 has a cooldown timer the same as 3.

Hmmm ... one thing to the green crystals and golden mebership ...

In my actual earth nature run I have 8 VIPs.
Had up until now golden membership (including the ones out of the medals).

I am at zone 4 and doing the golden artefact in the lower rigth corner (almost done)

Earthguild is at rang 12, traders and some others at rang 10.
Hunters is at Rang 4 (but at about 1,000% multiplier).

And I didnt convert normal to green.

So it seems possible (12 hours in).

Medals are at 10.42k / 639 / 5

I will continue to report, if you whish :)

As an afterthougth ...
It doesnt make any difference if you buy challenges with medals (and other unnessesary things) because the medals are not deducted :). So no harm done by buing challenges :)

i think we should be able to use gold, hero, and hunter guild during the challenge. not getting a power boost and doing sun guild only sounds super bad. something should change cause restarting over and over and over again just for 5x sun dmg or 2x resources, not good enough for me. buff the rewards and give more gems. we also need more f2p ways to get more gems.

(Sorry to Necro-post, but I figured this was the best place for this.)

A tip with green crystals that's been helping me with the level 2+ challenges:

Once you get your first gold card, or the 2nd one if you net enough gold and shields to quickly get to it. Revert the gold back to silver with 5 Green Crystals and then buy up that gold card again. Repeat this to net a ton of medals to unlock stuff quickly. The aim is for the Tarot Card unlock and to get a lot more green crystals.

Spend 50 green crystals on Souls. Save scum buy tarot cards to get the 100x Earth dmg and as many Xgold cards as possible. Especially useful cards for the Sun Power challenges are the 2 Sun Tarots that give +1k Sun dmg and 100x Sun dmg with a bonus of 1.5x Gold.

'nature"s in 30 mins is the most nonsense i have ever witness
30 per guild reset was already time consuming and worth the hussle but 7 locations in 30 mins is a middle finger (it is not a bug it is actually a silent undocumentted bugfix )

i feel like the balance here would be to pause the main game ( aka the dailies dont get lost and any guild time you may have is ppaused untill you complete the quest )

the other option i feel would be to ignore it till your pretty much done with the main mode ( at witch point your only doing for completion )

It may have been fixed. There has been about 5 updates since with fixes, undocumented in patch notes though
