Can't double jump
The game is running great, but there is a large issue in the fact that the game only lets you double jump once in like every 50 attempts, also there seems to be a glitch where you hover on the edge of platforms?

I have not played Manhattan Project for several years. I now have completely different H/W and OS. Double Jump was not working. The frame rate was pretty low so I changed the NVIDIA settings to High Performance Nvidia Processor. Many times Intel CPUs will default to the Intel GPU. Frame rate is up from less than 20 to over 130. Double Jump works every time.

Ah Paramiet !! Ok
Los problemas de doble salto se solucionan cambiando, en el juego, la opcion de graficos de DirectX a OpenGL.

Hailing from the far future.

If you have this issue, the solution for me was BOTH setting OpenGL (instead of D3D8) from the game's options menu, AND forcing VSync on from the NVidia Control Panel. Having either of those wrong would break double jump.

Bad, game-breaking bug. Poor testing :(

Damn still an ongoing issue 5 years later, and people are still using this thread lol

You should pick the answer function and select the best answer, that would help to fix this quickly ;D

What exactly should the frame rate be set to? 60? Uncapped I can get anywhere up to 300.
Phobos Oct 19, 2018 @ 3:42am
95% of these old games should not run above 60fps any way, except a few titles (id Software games mostly), it's plain useless for these to run above 60, and in some cases it can broke some mechanics.

Open GL fixes this, thanks !
Switched to Open GL, worked perfectly. In Direct3d8 I could barely jump by crouching but it didn't work in an very effective way...

Just cap the game at 60 fps. Anything above that will brake the physics. Same as a ton of other games, even recent ones. Its 18 years old and 60fps was a high standard then.

You need to cap the frame rate or a lot of things don't work right!

Even with OpenGL that doublejump sometimes aint working. I think? you can finish this game without it, not sure, but its must have to get all Nuke items.

Had to download this game again thanks to Civvie

This is how double jump should look like? seems fine to me, i just finished the original game, now i'm playing Deep Freeze mod.

I used dx8 on Windows 11.
