Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

Is there a difference between this version and the one on GOG?
I already have the three duke platformers on GOG, but the GOG version of Manhattan Project liked to crash on the helicopter fight sometimes. Is there any difference between the two versions codewise? I'd be willing to buy another copy of this excellent game if this version's more stable.

I have these on GOG as well. Owning the Steam version doens't have nearly as much allure since they destroyed the steam profiles. Just add nonsteam game to put it in your library and snag a custom library image from http://steambanners.booru.org/index.php

This one has a launcher so it runs natively in 1920x1080 and has controller support. Otherwise, it's the same.

Will the GOG version be updated? Kinda silly to buy the same game twice to get the optimal experience.

The gog version has controller support, just not the widescreen support.

Widescreen for the GOG version is just an .ini tweak: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Duke_Nukem:_Manhattan_Project#Widescreen_resolution

Controller support is already added.

At this point, I'm guessing it won't, as DNMP on GOG hasn't received any kind of an update. Plus, the Duke games on GOG are being removed on New Years Eve. So an update on there seems unlikely right now.

Did their license sell on GOG run out or something? I noticed XIII was removed from GOG as well.

If I'm reading the story on GOG's front page correctly, then it's because they don't have permission from the new rightsholders to sell them yet. GOG is in talks with them to get the games back "as swiftly as possible", but they will be removed from the store on the 31st.
