I really wanted to buy this
Ah, for how long have I been waiting both for that second game to get a translation so I could properly play it (there is one out now) and for the first to be upscaled because this was one of the better games since now you actually hunt the bad guys as your job description.

40 euros for my poor eastern european butt sure is a big number, but I might have paid that. Disappointed that they didn't give any sort of launch sale with 10% off or something. So far, I would buy it.

And then I look and see Denuvo. That stuff instantly put me off from buying it. The only thing worse than it is whatever Space Marine 2 is doing right now. Companies should really cut that stuff out because it's so very unhelpful. By giving the customer a worse experience they are discouraging actual purchases. By making it harder to pirate they are actually losing out on free advertising from those that are and are discovered by people who look for them cracked first so they can properly test them (steam's refund policy is nice, but I can count more than half my library as games you can tell are crap only after ten hours of gameplay).

Didn't they notice that sales for the other AA games started going up only AFTER they removed it? I bought the other two games only after they ceased with the Denuvo stuff. And I will probably do the same with this game. Someone wake me up when they remove the malware from the game.

So piracy is free advertasing? What a joke,
You can play the demo to test it.
Seems like all you want is for them to make it easier for you to pirate it.
You are so full of bs.

Where did you get the information that the sales go up after denuvo was removed?

You can check that with the SteamDB charts for players. Apollo Justice had its player count double once they removed Denuvo. That's a game that had a downward trend of players suddenly see a massive influx that no sale matched.

i just checked it. the players counts rose around 7 June 2024, which is around the time Capcom's mid year deals started. so that's probably the reason why it suddenly increased.

for additional information, denuvo was removed, or rather replaced, in 16 June, whuch didn't see a significant rise in player count

Bought the game. You pirates never buy the game full price anyway. Blaming Denuvo won't help.

I bought it so any argument you have is irrelevant about "not wanting to buy" as I go ahead and instead play the switch version that got broken already.

Prove that people that dislike Denuvo are pirates, I want to see hard facts backed with evidence.

I mean, I've certainly seen plenty of people say they will emulate the Switch version (in general across games that have Switch versions). And others say they will "wait for Empress" or whatever.

Obviously anyone who thinks for two seconds would know not everyone who dislikes it are pirates. But there are certainly plenty that are willing to pirate to get around it.

On the flip side, just because someone did buy a game with Denuvo doesn't make them somehow in support of it. It just means it isn't a dealbreaker like it is for some people.
